I am a dual-board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 8 years of knowledge. I initially graduated from Walden University as a Family Nurse Practitioner with my master’s degree in 2016. I have worked in different healthcare settings including acute care settings, post-acute care, outpatient, substance abuse, and urgent care. Given the high demand for mental health practitioners, I worked in mental health clinics, residential organization to manage behavioral health care as a provider and also in skilled nursing facility. I returned to school for my Post-Master of Science in nursing certification at Wilmington University in 2023 as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to practice fully autonomous.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session with me as a mental health clinician, clients can expect the first visit with establishing a therapeutic relationship, building a connection, gathering essential information, and setting the stage for the treatment process.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths of a mental health provider is my ability to communicate effectively, show empathy, solve problems, actively listen, and respect the diversity of my clients.

My treatment methods

Supportive

The therapy is used to focus on providing emotional support and practical advice to individuals dealing with various mental health issues. It also helps to alleviate distress, enhance coping mechanisms, and improve overall functioning. It is used in mental health practice to build rapport and trust, validation and affirmation, emotional support, problem-solving and coping skills, and psychoeducation.

Christian Counseling

As a Christian counseling treatment we offer a faith-based therapy which includes integrating spiritual, religious, and theological principles with psychological care to address mental health symptoms, condition and disorder. The therapy is also used to help individuals, couples, and families overcome emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges while incorporating their Christian faith into the healing process. It is also used to provide a holistic approach to treatment, addressing the emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects of a person's well-being. Other variety of services, include behavioral modification therapy, pastoral counseling, and other therapeutic techniques that are aligned with Christian beliefs.
