I am a dual-board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 8 years of knowledge. I initially graduated from Walden University as a Family Nurse Practitioner with my master’s degree in 2016. I have worked in different healthcare settings including acute care settings, post-acute care, outpatient, substance abuse, and urgent care. Given the high demand for mental health practitioners, I worked in mental health clinics, residential organization to manage behavioral health care as a provider and also in skilled nursing facility. I returned to school for my Post-Master of Science in nursing certification at Wilmington University in 2023 as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to practice fully autonomous.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
During the first session with me as a mental health clinician, clients can expect the first visit with establishing a therapeutic relationship, building a connection, gathering essential information, and setting the stage for the treatment process.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strengths of a mental health provider is my ability to communicate effectively, show empathy, solve problems, actively listen, and respect the diversity of my clients.
