Hello. I am excited to guide you in taking your power back. If your life feels more challenging than it should, I can help you uncover and discover thoughts and behaviors that may be blocking you from living in the light so you can enjoy life to the fullest. Do you sometimes feel stuck with little to no options in dealing with challenging situations? Do you tend to react by fighting, fleeing, shutting down, or using mind-altering substances when you feel emotional distress? And soon after experience negative self-talk about the way you handled the situation? If you relate to this, I would love to teach you the reason humans tend to repeat patterns and explore alternative ways to find solutions.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will focus on understanding what brought you to treatment. I will be happy to answer questions you may have for me regarding how we can work together to restore your mental health. We will explore patterns of thoughts and behaviors you desire to alter.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have experience working in acute medical centers and acute care behavioral/psychiatric facilities. I have worked in all levels of care for substance abuse. This past experience has provided me with a vast understanding of human patterns and behaviors. I have a compassionate heart and the feedback from my clients is that they quickly feel comfortable in my presence due to my nonjudgmental and understanding demeanor. I find the rapport between client and therapist to be extremely important.

I enjoy assisting clients in understanding how perceptions are created based on one's emotions, thoughts, past experiences and desires. One's emotions can alter one's thoughts and it is the thought that drives one's behaviors. Life can only reinforce what one believes to be true. Therapy and assist one in discerning if the thoughts are based on the physical reality or based on the story of the emotional mind. This is often a contributing factor in the reason it is so challenging to break thought and behavior patterns. I would love to assist you in better understanding the inner workings of how your mind processes information.
