Welcome! I earned my doctorate and master's in counseling and psychology from Texas A&M University. My passion lies in working closely with individuals facing a variety of challenges, including relationship issues, anxiety, stress, depression, divorce/grief, workplace dissatisfaction, cross-cultural concerns, generational trauma, parenting struggles, PTSD, life transitions, and self-esteem issues. Perhaps you're in a place where juggling life's various aspects feels like an uphill battle, or you find yourself wrestling with persistent feelings of anxiety or sadness. Regardless of the severity of your struggle, together, we can pinpoint what is holding you back and integrate methods that support your healing and empower you to navigate life's challenges. You've already taken one of the hard steps – reaching out for help! I'm eager and committed to supporting you on your journey to the next, more fulfilling chapter of your life, all within a non-judgmental space. Let's embark on this journey together, navigating your suffering and developing improved coping mechanisms to manage difficult relationships, ultimately helping you find your path toward a more fulfilling chapter in your life. *Please note that appointments after 6pm are VIRTUAL only.*
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, we'll begin with brief introductions and dive into the reason you are seeking counseling. We will collaborate together to develop a plan to address and manage your therapeutic goals. There are rarely quick fixes, but I hope to provide you with a safe place to begin working on the core issues affecting your life.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
My greatest strength lies in assisting clients in identifying and reshaping patterns and behaviors that may be hindering personal growth and well-being. With a compassionate and empathetic approach, I am committed to creating a supportive space where you can explore your challenges openly. Drawing from my personal experiences as a young widow and single parent, I intimately understand the complexities of loss, grief, difficult relationships, loss of identity and trauma. Having worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, I bring a wealth of experience that allows me to tailor my therapeutic approach to meet your distinct needs.
