Hey! I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based out of North Carolina. I received my Masters from Touro University in California and have been in the mental health field for 10+ years, and practicing for 4 years. I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, relationship issues or everyday stressors by providing a safe space to do the work in becoming best versions of themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Initial sessions can be tough, scary and anxiety provoking, so it's my goal to keep it as light as I can. Our first session will consist of short introductions, assessments, history gathering and rapport building. This process helps us to get acquainted before diving into what I like to refer to as the "meat", which is the challenges that brought you to therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My extensive experience in the mental health field has afforded me the opportunity to master empathy, and active listening. I'm passionate about creating a "no judgement zone", which is vital when laying the foundation of a successful therapeutic relationship.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is widely used therapeutic approach that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I've used this approach to help clients identify and challenge maladaptive thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to their psychological distress.

Attachment-based

Attachment-based therapy is a therapeutic approach I use that focuses on understanding and addressing the impact of early attachment experiences on an individual's current relationships and emotional well-being.

Couples Counseling

Couples therapy, also known as marriage or couples counseling, is a form of psychotherapy where a therapist works with a couple to improve their relationship. I use various techniques and approaches tailored to the specific needs of the couple.

Gottman method

The Gottman Method is a popular approach used by therapists in couples therapy, developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman. It's based on extensive research into what makes relationships succeed or fail and focuses on enhancing communication, understanding, and intimacy between partners.
