As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I have over 20 years of experience providing mental health and substance abuse services to children, adolescents, and adults. My experience includes providing services in different levels of care such as outpatient, inpatient, and residential treatment settings. My specialties include: Depression, Anxiety and Panic Disorders; Bereavement; Health Issues (cancer, diabetes, pain management); Weight Management; and Adjustment Issues (caregiver stress, divorce, parenthood, retirement, "empty nest").

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first appointment, we'll get to know each other a little better to ensure that we are a good match. In addition, I will collect some history so I better understand your needs and can provide you with feedback regarding a treatment plan that is tailored to your needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My approach includes building confidence and trust within the therapeutic relationship and empowering my clients to utilize and build upon their natural coping strategies throughout the process of self-discovery and change. I can help you find your inner strength and use it to make long-lasting changes towards a healthier, happier you.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Are you feeling overwhelmed or having difficulty coping with a life change? I am passionate about helping my clients find their inner strength and work towards achieving their goals. I believe that everyone has the capacity for growth and that every experience has something valuable to teach us.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 10 years. It is a very effective intervention to manage anxiety, depression, and other issues affecting mood and functioning. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. Through this process, you will be able to identify situations that may be triggering and impacting your mood and make lasting changes.
