My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize a cognitive behavioral approach as the primary treatment method. This is an evidenced based approach to treat a number of symptoms. This method helps in identifying faulty or unhelpful ways of thinking as well as identification of unhelpful behavior while learning replacement for these thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I use this as my primary method for treatment and it has helped my clients change their ways of thinking to ultimately improve their overall quality of life.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I will combine Cognitive Behavior Therapy with MIndfulness-Based Therapy by incorporating awareness of thoughts, emotions, feelings, surroundings, and situations through non-judgemental acceptance. This will help you discover ways you can better cope with life's circumstances through focusing on the present.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I allow my clients to take the "driver's seat" to their own outcomes by asking guiding questions to help lead them to their own success in therapy by meeting clients where they are makes the process less intimidating and offers a non-judgemental approach.

Motivational Interviewing

This is a process to help you find internal change, while also taking into consideration how difficult it is to make life changes. I provide on-going support and encouragement all along the way.

Supportive

I offer emotional support, encouragement, and validation during difficult life circumstances or psychological challenges. My goal for you is to offer you a "safe" space for you to feel open to talking about your feelings, concerns, and problems in a nonjudgmental and therapeutic environment.
