New to Grow
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides compassionate, trauma-informed therapy for adults, women, and families. I specialize in helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges using evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, and EMDR-informed care. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel heard, empowered, and equipped to heal and move forward.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In your first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space focused on understanding your concerns and goals for therapy. I will gather information about what brings you to treatment, your history, and what you hope to change or improve. I’ll explain my therapeutic approach and discuss how CBT, DBT, EMDR, and other interventions may support your needs. The first session is designed to establish safety, clarify next steps, and ensure you feel supported moving forward.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
What stands out about my approach is that I don’t just understand healing from textbooks—I’ve lived it. My work is shaped by my own experiences with trauma, divorce, and rebuilding life as a mother. Parenting a child with ADHD has deepened my empathy, patience, and understanding of how nervous systems, stress, and identity are shaped over time. I bring this lived insight into the therapy space with care and boundaries, helping clients feel seen, safe, and understood. Faith can be integrated if requested.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I am best positioned to serve women, children, and adolescents who are navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD, emotional regulation challenges, and major life transitions such as divorce or family change. I work well with clients who want both practical coping skills and deeper healing, whether that means learning emotional regulation through CBT and DBT, processing past experiences through EMDR, or integrating faith into therapy. My ideal clients are motivated to grow, open to reflection, and seeking lasting change in a supportive, structured, and compassionate environment.
EMDR
I am trained in EMDR, a therapy approach that helps people process past experiences that continue to affect their emotions, thoughts, and reactions. I work with individuals experiencing trauma, PTSD, acute stress disorder, anxiety, depression, grief, and attachment-related concerns. I focus on helping clients feel safe and supported first by building coping and grounding skills before working through difficult memories. EMDR is provided through secure telehealth and combined with practical tools to help clients feel more calm, confident, and empowered in daily life.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, a practical approach that helps clients focus on their strengths, goals, and what’s already working rather than spending long periods on past problems. This therapy is collaborative and future-focused, helping clients identify small, achievable steps that can lead to meaningful change. Sessions are goal-oriented and designed to support confidence, clarity, and progress in everyday life.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients understand how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. CBT focuses on identifying unhelpful thinking patterns and replacing them with healthier, more balanced ways of thinking. This approach is practical and skill-based, helping clients manage stress, anxiety, depression, and everyday challenges more effectively.
Christian Counseling
I offer Christian counseling for clients who want to integrate their faith into therapy. Sessions may include faith-based values, prayer, and biblical principles when desired by the client, while also using evidence-based therapeutic approaches. This approach supports emotional healing, spiritual growth, and alignment between faith and everyday life challenges.
Dialectical Behavior (DBT)
I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build practical skills for managing intense emotions, improving relationships, and handling stress more effectively. DBT focuses on skills such as emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and healthy communication. This approach is especially helpful for people who feel overwhelmed by their emotions or stuck in patterns they want to change.
