Hello! I am currently accepting new clients via tele therapy. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have a Ph.D. in Counseling Studies. I bring over 10 years of experience working with a diverse clientele. I have helped individuals overcome numerous issues including stress and anxiety disorders, self-esteem issues, relationship issues, depression, behavioral issues and grief. My work also includes helping couples and families restore communication among other issues, such as divorce, separation and co-parenting and facilitating parenting classes. I am trained in Functional Family Therapy and use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a Person Centered Approach. I am a wife, mother, sister and daughter and know that life can get challenging. As a compassionate counselor, I am here to work with you on your journey to self care. I take my role as counselor serious and am dedicated to making this a comfortable and healing environment. I am confident in my ability to provide a trusting and nonjudgmental space. When you first begin counseling, I will take some time to get to know you. I want to learn more about you and your triggers. So I will ask you questions about your past and current situation. I use an evidence-based form of psychotherapy called cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you identify your helpful or unwanted thoughts. Then, we will work together to reframe them into more productive and positive ideas. During the counseling process, I will work with you to find relief from the symptoms that are making you uncomfortable. To do this, I will teach you and help you practice a variety of coping techniques. These tools will be tailored to meet your unique needs. At the moment, I practice entirely over tele-health, providing us the flexibility to connect in a convenient a safe way.
