Welcome! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Georgia. I received my Master's in Social Work from New York University and have been practicing since 2004. I help empower adults of all ages with tools they can use for a lifetime as they navigate and make sense of their life's experiences and challenges. It is truly sacred ground to walk this path with my clients.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will exchange introductions and then we can start collaborating! There is no "one size fits all," so I work with my clients to help them set goals that are realistic and attainable.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having "life experience" and living outside of the US has been an invaluable source of knowledge for me (Brazil, Zimbabwe, and South Africa) and helped me to grow as an individual as well.

My treatment methods

EMDR

I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing which can be a powerful intervention for trauma, anxiety or depression, in combination with talk therapy. It has been my privilege to serve my clients with this intervention and hear the reports of the progress and changes that have taken place as a result.

Strength-Based

My goal is to help clients be empowered by recognizing and acknowledging their strengths. As a result, growth and confidence can flourish and will continue for a lifetime.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I have 10 years experience using mindfulness-based relapse prevention with clients. The benefits of mindfulness include improvement with mood, wellness, and resilience, as well as a decrease in anxiety and depression.

Psychodynamic

A psychodynamic approach is another effective tool as it helps clients reflect, understand and grow in insight. So much of what clients learn through psychodynamics is a validation and acknowledgement of their life's experiences.
