Peace Peace, My name is Jarrett, Have you been feeling a little down lately? Anxious, frustrated, and/or depressed about a current or past situation? As if you’ve lost sight of the person, you are or want to be. As we grow through life, we can expect challenges and changes. However, our perspective of those situations can dictate our emotional or behavioral responses. Let's begin to move forward, step by step. Let's partner together. First, we will build a trusting therapeutic relationship, then I will cultivate a safe space of understanding, healing, and growth, through evidence-based practices in hopes of you becoming the best version of yourself.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first therapy session, often referred to as an intake session, is a crucial step in establishing a therapeutic relationship and understanding the client's needs. In our first session together, we'll dive into the presenting problems, childhood experiences, upbringing, view of the life /world, and specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

As an innovator, I emphasize the mind, body, and spirit. Specifically, my style is comprised of an integrative approach to psychotherapy that aims to discover and implement the most effective treatment for each individual. Such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Existentialism.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

One of my biggest strengths is supporting clients to understand the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Another strength would be utilizing the concept of shadow work, which is working with your unconscious mind to uncover the parts of yourself that you repress and hide from yourself. This skill includes trauma or parts of your personality that you subconsciously consider undesirable. Lastly, another strength is supporting clients to understand that we are each responsible for creating purpose or meaning in our own lives to address various mental health, family and relationship issues.
