Hello. I am a psychotherapist and mental health care professional who values not only the creative attributes of the mind but also the wisdom of the body and soul. My presence-oriented, client-centered approach, helps me connect in a way that empowers the change and growth you desire. I offer practical tools and guidance that support you to achieve wellness and balance. My areas of specialty include trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, relationships, and creativity. I am well-versed in teaching coping skills, self-regulation, and mindfulness practices. Somatic-based, psychodynamic, depth, art, narrative, and CBT are some of the therapeutic modalities I apply. I have also facilitated mindfulness and trauma-informed, self-regulation practices to groups. Because I care deeply about supporting my clients through times of need, the relational guidance and support I maintain helps clients achieve their goals and overcome challenges. I especially connect with those who are struggling to find their way through life transitions, and the difficulties encountered along the way. My own life experience informs and gives insight into these struggles, and my open, authentic, and non-judgmental personality helps clients to feel safe and at ease. Building trust and openness is key to my work, and I value each and everyone’s unique story and journey. I also have a background in the creative and professional arts and this experience gives me a unique insight into supporting those who are creatives. Additionally, I have an insider's perspective on cross-cultural issues and understand some of the challenges one meets when living in a country different from where they were born. Currently, I am a PhD candidate in East-West psychology with a focus on imaginal practices and their transformative potential.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients will set their goals and we will work together to achieve those. Because every client has different needs and circumstances, each plan is tailored made and evolves as the client's needs change. Self-regulation, coping skills, and self-care practices usually are central to establish a grounding from which to work through more challenging mind-body-emotional conflicts that impede on their relationship with self and others. Working through areas of difficulty that interfere with the client's ability to experience happiness and fulfillment often becomes the central theme. Uncovering negative core-beliefs and integrating positive self-affirming practices helps the client to move about the world with less burden and more certainty.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is my unwavering, nonjudgemental support in your journey towards wellness and in the unfoldment of you discovering your innate capacities.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

The mind-body connection for mental and physical health has a long history rooted in ancient Eastern and Western philosophies. Current research demonstrates the positive impact an integrated approach can have on one’s overall health and well being. I incorporate somatic interventions, and include mindfulness, guided imagery, and deep breathing practices to support and compliment evidenced-based standards.
