Are you seeking a therapist who prioritizes trust and genuine connection? Someone who not only listens but actively participates in your personal growth journey, sharing in your accomplishments with enthusiasm? Do you desire a professional unafraid to explore the challenging questions that others may avoid? You can count on me. I am here to provide unwavering support and expert guidance as you embark on this courageous path to enhance your mental well-being. My name is Grace Davis. I'm a Licensed Clinical Social worker and I've been working in the field of social work for over 15 years. If you are struggling with chronic pain, depression, anxiety, or PTSD, please know that I am here to support you. I have dedicated my career to helping individuals overcome these challenges and find relief from their suffering. As a former member of the Trauma team at Stanford Hospital, I have extensive experience working with people who have experienced violent accidents or attempted suicide. I believe in your ability to heal and grow, and it would be my privilege to assist you on your journey toward a happier, healthier future. IMPORTANT- If you are a Kaiser member, please complete a mental health intake with Kaiser. Ask for an external referral to Grow Therapy. You can then call Grow Therapy and provide my name.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During your first session with me, you can expect a welcoming and unbiased environment where you will feel safe and at home. My goal is to create a comfortable space for you to share your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and to work together to identify your goals and develop a plan for moving forward.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia at a very young age and this is something I continue to struggle with. Dealing with life-long chronic pain has led to my own times of depression and this is what inspired me to study mental health and become a therapist. Although this is something that I would rarely bring up in a session with you, I want you to know that I feel for what you are going through and there is never any judgment for how you respond to it. I also believe that there is hope and joy in working through the hard times and seeing the light.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

In my therapy practice, I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you gain a deeper understanding of your thoughts and emotions. Together, we'll navigate the intricacies of your unique struggles, empowering you to challenge negative patterns and embrace positive change. With empathy and expertise, I create a safe space for your personal growth and healing, weaving CBT techniques seamlessly into our therapeutic journey.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

In my therapy practice, I incorporate Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to guide you on a transformative journey. With ACT, I'll help you explore the power of acceptance, enabling you to embrace your thoughts and emotions without judgment. Through our sessions, we'll work together to align your values and commitments, allowing you to take meaningful actions toward a more fulfilling and purpose-driven life.

Motivational Interviewing

I employ Motivational Interviewing as a powerful tool for your self-discovery. Instead of imposing my thoughts or ideas, I assist you in understanding your own motivations and desires on a deeper level. Through thoughtful and empathetic conversations, I aim to unearth your inner drivers, helping you explore your own aspirations and facilitating the path to positive change.
