I am ANCC- ANCC-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, also with MSN- FNP- C. I provide comprehensive assessment, psychoeducation, and psychiatric interventions such as medication management and psychotherapy. I speak Tagalog and English. Through my empathetic approach and strong therapeutic interactions with patients, I seek to create an environment of safety and encouragement in which people feel empowered to address their mental health challenges. I work with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to create tailored treatment regimens promoting overall health and recovery. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, I am committed to providing comprehensive mental health care to people of all ages. With years of experience in the field, I've honed my abilities to examine, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental problems. I provide comprehensive assessment, medication management, psychoeducation, and therapeutic interventions. Our sessions offer a safe, nonjudgmental environment in which you can discuss your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Whether you're battling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or any other mental health condition, I am here to listen, understand, and support you at every stage. The initial step might be difficult, and I am eager to welcome you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

An effective mental health professional does not get caught up in his or her own ego. I acknowledge that treating mental health is a complex discipline. I create awareness about mental health concerns and catalyze crucial activities linked to stigma reduction, enhancing access to care, supporting world-class research, and leading by example. Identifying and applying patients' strengths in practice, as well as the value of understanding and focusing on strengths, is important. I put myself in their place and comprehend what they are going through, such as empathizing, avoiding lecturing or dismissing their experience.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Being a PMHNP requires a strong personality and effective communication abilities. I have a thorough understanding of mental health issues as well as the ability to use that knowledge in practice. I am friendly, genuine, and empathetic. I communicate compassionately and listen to patients' concerns. I have very good critical thinking skills as I can identify patterns in patients' thoughts and behaviors and match them to diagnoses, to be able to come up with effective treatment plans. And most of all, I am willing to collaborate with the patient's families and other healthcare team to provide the best quality of care.

My treatment methods

Psychoeducation

Psychoeducation blends cognitive behavior therapy, group therapy, and education. The primary goal is to educate patients and their families about the various aspects of the condition and its treatment so that they may collaborate with mental health specialists to get a better overall result.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-based therapies (MBTs) help people focus on the present moment by using meditation, relaxation, and awareness activities. The idea is to help people experience pressures and ordinary occurrences in a nonjudgmental and non-reactive manner. MBTS can also help patients learn to appreciate the simple pleasures of life, connect with themselves, and feel alive.

Motivational Interviewing

Motivational interviewing is a counseling technique that assists people in overcoming ambiguous sentiments and fears in order to uncover the internal desire to modify their behavior. It is a practical, empathic, and short-term strategy that acknowledges the difficulty of making life adjustments.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a short-term goal-focused evidence-based therapeutic technique that uses positive psychology ideas and practices to help clients change by developing solutions rather than focusing on problems.

Supportive

Supportive psychotherapy is a style of therapy that focuses on offering emotional support, encouragement, and validation during challenging life events or psychological issues. Your therapist will encourage you to express your emotions, worries, and issues in a safe, nonjudgmental setting.
