Hi! My name is Jennifer, I'm an LPC licensed to see clients in Texas and I am glad that you are here. I see adults and teens for anxiety, panic/intrusive thoughts and trauma. My clients have been wounded by past trauma and are seeking freedom from ongoing symptoms of PTSD. They are struggling with anxious or intrusive thoughts and just want a way forward. If you are feeling stuck in life, you have come to the right place.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, I will get to know you and the things that are causing you distress. I will ask a lot of questions so I can get a full picture of the path forward and how I can best help you as a clinician. We will discuss goals that you have and then I will craft a treatment plan that is customized for you. Along the way, we will utilize progress measures to determine if goals are being met. I am very person-centered and believe the client should be an active participant in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I create a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to show up as their most authentic self in therapy. I am a warm and empathetic listener and seek to understand more by listening than talking. I believe that people have the innate ability to heal themselves and view myself as a guide that helps you find your way to freedom and healing.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a type of therapy that helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. CBT helps you change the way you think and behave, leading to healthier emotions and improved well-being.

Christian Counseling

For clients that would like to incorporate their Christian faith in counseling, I integrate principles of Christianity into the therapy process to help clients address their mental health concerns and find healing and growth. Christian counseling aims to support clients in their mental health journey while also nurturing their spiritual well-being and connection with God.

EMDR

EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a type of therapy that helps people process and heal from past traumatic experiences. EMDR works by engaging your brain's natural ability to heal itself. It can lead to significant reductions in symptoms related to trauma, such as flashbacks, anxiety, and intrusive thoughts.
