Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I have worked in the field by providing therapeutic resources and support for many years before becoming licensed in 2020. With this, I can confidently share that as a therapist I embody compassion and instill hope in my clients. I believe in the inherent worth and potential for growth in every individual, supporting clients on their journey toward healing, self-discovery, and personal transformation. These strengths, along with ongoing reflection, supervision, and collaboration with colleagues, enable me to provide effective, compassionate, and ethical care to my clients.

My treatment methods

EMDR

When experiencing highly intense unwanted emotions one may find themselves avoiding talk therapy fearful that they will be forced to relieve every gruesome detail of each event. When participating in EMDR, my clients have the unique ability to process trauma through bilateral stimulation. This allows you to process emotions, memories, and incidents stuck in the nervous system. EMDR has proven to effectively heal clients from trauma and other distressing experiences.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

"I'm useless", "The world is unsafe", "They are going to reject me", and "Things are never going to work out for me", have you ever said any of these things? You are not alone. I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past 4 years. This therapeutic model aids clients in challenging unfavorable reoccurring thoughts and managing feelings such as depression and anxiety. During sessions, we will use CBT to recognize how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. Using this we will be able to change unhealthy thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I was first introduced to DBT while working in a Residential Treatment facility 8 years ago. Since then I have used this model in my practice to assist clients in regulating their emotions and using mindfulness skills to accept the reality of their current lives and behaviors. Utilizing DBT emphasizes a collaborative relationship between the therapist and the client. As a therapist, my motto is to "validate the client's experiences while also challenging maladaptive behaviors and beliefs."
