Hello, I'm a Licensed Professional Counsellor (LPC) based in Texas, providing therapy to adults, couples and families both in person and online. I have experience with active duty members and their families as well as individuals and couples seeking support for emotional and relational concerns. I am bilingual in English and Spanish and practice from a humanistic -existentially informed perspective. My work integrates person- centered therapy with evidence based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Emotion focused therapy (EFT) and Gottman Method Couples (level 1 and 2). I focus on helping clients gain insight, create meaningful, lasting change.

In our first session together, we will focus on understanding what brought you to therapy and what you hope to change. I will ask questions to better understand your history, your current concerns, and goals while also giving you space to share at your own pace. Together, we will begin identifying patterns, strengths, and priorities that will guide our work and help determine next steps for treatment.

My greatest strength is integrating evidence based interventions with a strong therapeutic relationship. I work collaboratively and with intention, helping clients understand patterns, regulate emotions, and address the underlying factors contributing to distress. My approach balances structure and flexibility, emphasizing emotional awareness, practical skills and accountability. I focus on helping individuals and couples make meaningful changes that improve both emotional well-being and relationship functioning.

I work best with adults and couples who are motivated to better understand themselves and improve their emotional and relational well being. My ideal clients may be struggling with anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, relationship conflict, or recurring patterns rooted in past experiences. Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidenced-based approach that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. I use CBT to help clients identify and modify unhelpful thinking patterns and behavioral responses that contribute to emotional distress. Treatment is structured, goal oriented and focuses on developing practical skills that support lasting change.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia is an evidenced-based treatment for chronic insomnia. I use CBT-I to help clients address sleep-related behaviors, cognitive patters and psychological arousal that interfere with restorative sleep. Treatment includes structured behavioral strategies, cognitive interventions and education designed to improve sleep quality and consistency.

Humanistic

My Humanistic approach emphasizes empathy, authenticity and respect for each clients lived experience. I focus on creating a supportive therapeutic environment where clients feel understood and empowered to explore their thoughts, emotions, and values. This approach helps build self-awareness, strengthen agency and move toward meaningful personal growth.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

Dialectical Behavior Therapy ( DBT) is an evidenced-based approach that focuses on building skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. I use DBT strategies to help clients manage intense emotions, reduce maladaptive behaviors, and improve coping and communication skills. This approach is structured, practical, and focused on helping clients respond more effectively to emotional and relational challenges.

Gottman method

The Gottman Method is an evidenced-based approach to couples therapy that focuses on improving communication, strengthening emotional connection and managing conflict effectively. I use Gottman-informed interventions to help couples, reduce negative interaction patterns, and build trust, friendship, and emotional safety. This structured approach helps couples create a more stable relationship over time.
