Greetings, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in North Carolina(also serving SC). I received my Masters from the JMSW program between UNCG & NCAT and have been in practice for 3 years. I help individuals and their families dealing with Mens Issues, Self Esteem, Child and Adolescent behaviors, Trauma, Life Transitions, and Substance misuse. Populations I have served include child, adolescents, adults, families, and couples.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In my approach to therapy I will ensure that I am creating a safe space for you. I will assist you in discovering things within yourself you may not have been aware of or weren't able to express. Throughout our sessions I will track your growth and push you to become the best version of yourself. While engaging you throughout sessions I will listen without judgement, understand your autonomy, and provide empathic support. I will ensure that your feelings/emotions are validated as you work through the process. I will challenge your thinking to assist in change behavior while you become your ultimate self.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a provider is my diverse experience. I have an array of crisis experience and my calmness, understanding, and empathy has allowed me to offer my clients a tailored experience that promotes healing and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT has assisted clients in challenging reoccurring thoughts and managing their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less anxious and stressed life.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

With acceptance and commitment therapy we will use traditional behavior therapy with a mix of cognitive behavioral therapy. I will assist you in learning to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with inner emotions. While doing this you will understand these feelings are responses to certain situations. With this you will commit to making necessary changes to behavior.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

This approach is goal focused. As the clinician I will incorporate positive psychology principles and practices while assisting you with constructing solutions rather than focusing on the problem.

Strength-Based

Strength Based therapy will allow you to focus on internal strengths and resourcefulness, rather than your weaknesses. This helps build a positive mindset which brings out your best qualities, find your strengths, and channel positive change.
