Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Pennsylvania. I have been working in the mental health field for over 10 years. I have spent much of that time working with people who are looking to work through and cope with grief and loss, chronic illness or medical issues, anxiety, depression, life change and traumas they have experienced.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together I will offer a brief introduction of myself and a quick overview on the trauma-focused and psychodynamic theories I utilize to help you towards healing and change. The majority of the session will of course, focus on you. You will have the space to share anything and everything that you are bringing with you and want to focus on. We will then discuss together a plan tailored to your needs and expectations.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I truly believe that I meet each person where they are in their life journey and see each person as whole - not as a list of symptoms or issues. I treat every person with grace, humility and a little humor to make the space comfortable and make you feel seen, heard and validated.

My treatment methods

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

In IFS, the belief is that there are no bad parts within us. I enjoy using this treatment method as it allows us to work through the behaviors, thoughts and feelings your inner self has employed to help protect yourself from the world at large - including past traumas and experiences.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is a wonderful treatment option for folks who are struggling with anxiety at all levels. Through learning how your behaviors, thoughts and feelings influence each other, we can learn how to modify and change your thinking patterns and behaviors and make your life a little easier.

Eclectic

In addition to utilizing IFS and CBT directly, I like to begin each client relationship with an eclectic approach. I believe one size does not fit all for all symptoms or stressors. In addition to CBT and IFS, I use a trauma-focused lens to utilize other modalities I have been trained in such as grief therapy, attachment therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, among others.
