I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in NC. I help individuals and couples work through life’s challenges by combining evidence-based approaches like CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy with a faith-based perspective. I’m compassionate but also direct—I challenge my clients to do the work needed to grow, break unhealthy patterns, and reach their therapeutic goals. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel both encouraged and empowered to make real progress in your life.
In our first session, we’ll start with a brief introduction and talk about what led you to seek therapy. We’ll take a deeper dive into what you’re currently experiencing and begin identifying the goals you want to work toward. I’ll also walk you through what our work together will look like and how we’ll move forward in helping you reach those goals. The goal is to help you feel heard, supported, and clear about the path ahead.
One of my greatest strengths as a provider is helping you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and the roots of what you may be experiencing. I’m skilled at connecting your current challenges to past experiences and developing practical tools for you to practice that help uproot these patterns. I combine evidence-based techniques with a faith-based perspective, so I can meet you where you are and support you in a way that honors your values and beliefs. I also help clients identify unhelpful patterns, challenge negative thinking, and build skills that lead to lasting, positive change.
I’m love to work with clients who feel stuck or unsure about how to cope with life’s challenges. Whether you're dealing with stress, emotional pain, or major life transitions, I’m here to help you make sense of it all. I work well with individuals who are ready to put in the work to grow, heal, and improve their mental health. I also enjoy working with clients who value a faith-based perspective and want to include their Christian beliefs in the healing process.
I use CBT to help clients understand how their past experiences may be shaping the way they think, feel, and act today. Together, we look at unhelpful thought patterns and work to shift them into more balanced and realistic ones. As clients start thinking differently, they often notice positive changes in how they feel and behave in everyday life.
With Solution-Focused Therapy, I help clients identify patterns or cycles they may feel stuck in. We work together to find practical tools, skills, and strategies that can break those negative cycles and start building healthier, more positive ones. The goal is to figure out what works and how to continue building on it.
The foundation of my work as a therapist is biblically based. I use therapeutic approaches like CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy to build on that foundation. I help clients incorporate their Christian beliefs to reframe their thoughts and gain a healthier, faith-centered perspective on the challenges they’re facing.
