What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, our main task is to see if we will be a "good fit." My goal is to provide the best treatment for you. I am compassionate and will seek to help you find the best therapist that you can work well with (even if it is not me). I will be taking notes about the issues that concern and trouble you. I will also be asking you questions about your life and relationships so that I can begin to get a picture of who you are.

I am compassionate, caring, understanding and a good listener. I have been practicing for 35 years in private practice. I have been seeing people therapeutically in clinical practice for 35 years. I have expertise in treating a variety of issues and disorders, gaining successful outcomes.

EMDR

I am certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) treats Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). PTSD often happens after experiences such as military combat, physical assault, rape, or car accidents. EMDR is also an effect treatment for depression and anxiety. EMDR uses a patient's own rapid, rhythmic eye movements. With the help of an EMDR therapist, these eye movements can decrease the power of emotionally charged memories of past traumatic events.
