I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP), and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) with 25 years of experience committed to helping children, adolescents, and adults learn how to achieve their potential. My work focuses on improving your awareness, freedom, and self-direction toward growth, fulfillment, healing, and wisdom utilizing humanistic forms including Gestalt and Existential therapy, supported by person-centered, mind-body, and trauma-informed care. I believe in taking a collaborative approach to support you in reaching your goals with the understanding that you have the capacity toward self-actualization.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session is a mutual assessment in order to decide whether therapy can be useful, and if I am the right therapist for you. Additionally, I will ask questions pertaining to biographical information, historical events, and current concerns or reasons for seeking therapy. Lastly, we will explore your goals for counseling and ensure a good therapeutic alignment between your needs and approaches.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Having worked with children, adolescents, families, and adults over the past 25 years in therapeutic milieus ranging from prevention, outpatient counseling, intensive community-based services, and inpatient, I bring a high degree of experience and training, utilizing approaches and techniques in the fields of mental health and substance abuse. I am compassionate and strive to make your experience one that is warm, welcoming, respectful, and accepting.
