I have been practicing as a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist (LMFT) for over 20 years, working with clients of all ages from diverse places and backgrounds, who are experiencing personal emotional struggles or navigating complex relationships. I provide a safe, nonjudgmental environment in which to set goals, identify and process emotions, increase healthy communication skills, deepen insight, expand your sense of self, and affect positive change in your life.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Within a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where you can openly discuss your concerns, I will gather bckground information that will help me understand your goals and identify critical issues to be addressed. I will explain the therapeutic process, set expectations, and we will collaboratively develop a plan tailored to your needs that will then be utilized in our on-going work together.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a compassionate, skilled professional, I am committed to forming collaborative partnerships with my clients to monitor the alliance I have with them and the outcome of the services I am providing. I seek to join in their personal journey of growth and change for a satisfying, purposful and meaningful life .

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidenced-based therapeutic approach for which there is extensive scientific evidence that the methods that have been developed actually produce change. I apply various Cognitive Behavioral therapeutic models and techniques, including Solution-Focused, Strategic, Structual and Multi-generational Family therapies. We will work together, in a collaborative fashion, to develop an understanding of the problem and a treatment strategy in order to change unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns, and adjust problematic emotions. Proven to be effective for a range of problems - including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, anger management, utilizing CBT in my practice has led many clients to significant improvement in their functioning and quality of life.
