My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidenced-based therapeutic approach for which there is extensive scientific evidence that the methods that have been developed actually produce change. I apply various Cognitive Behavioral therapeutic models and techniques, including Solution-Focused, Strategic, Structual and Multi-generational Family therapies. We will work together, in a collaborative fashion, to develop an understanding of the problem and a treatment strategy in order to change unhelpful thinking and behavior patterns, and adjust problematic emotions. Proven to be effective for a range of problems - including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, anger management, utilizing CBT in my practice has led many clients to significant improvement in their functioning and quality of life.

My first therapy session with Cynthia was wonderful and provided me with so much hope for the future. I wish I could have had 4 hours instead of 1, but I am motivated to attend my next session and begin the real work. I am looking forward to additional sessions with her.
