Counseling was my first chosen career path. Throughout my life, I enjoyed being a listening ear to others and delving into their past to see the root cause of all their issues. Understanding human psychology has always been my primary passion and focus and I enjoy assisting others on their paths to living healthier and more productive lifestyles. My primary areas of focus have been anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, and impulse control. I utilize an integrative, holistic approach to therapy and have experience in private practice, school settings, home-based interventions, and teletherapy. I look forward to assisting you on your journey toward improved mental health and success.
A therapy intake session is scheduled to explore your reason for receiving therapy and to obtain any background information I need from you to form the best treatment plan for the therapy process. A short evaluation is done at the start of every therapy session to monitor progress and maintenance. I tend to focus on a few key areas a week throughout our therapy process. The long-term benefits of therapy include the following: Improved mental health, improved quality of life, healthier friendships and relationships, improved self-esteem, and enhanced direction and certainty.

I have endured trauma throughout my life and have struggled with both anxiety and depression. Overcoming these limitations are doable and seeking therapy is a step in the right direction. Understanding culture and the part it plays in our daily lives is imperative. As a therapist, I am sensitive to this topic and I enjoy working with a diversity of ethnic backgrounds. Providing an open-minded and nonjudgmental approach is a strength of mine and I believe these qualities allow me to be a great therapist.
“I have a knack for working with clients who have a lack of direction, have been through trauma, those suffering with depression. I enjoy assisting clients with creating a schedule or order in their lives, those who have questions on spirituality, or those who are suffering with general anxiety.”
