Hello, My name is Michelle, and I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. Whether you are struggling to function due to everyday life, or the residual effects of trauma I am ready to help you. I have extensive training in severe and persistent mental illness and trauma. I believe in trauma-informed care, and that maintaining positive mental health is pertinent to thriving in other aspects of life. The work starts with you. I deliver treatment by offering an open and non-judgmental environment that allows you to feel safe. Therapy is a vulnerable experience that I feel honored to be a part of. I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals on your wellness journey.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session you can expect for me to introduce myself to you and explain what the therapeutic process with me is like. I am laid back and open allowing for my clients to express themselves and take control in what identifying what it is they want to work on. We will not go too deep in the first session, but rather use that time to get a feel for each, learn some basic coping skills that may be needed, and build the foundation of our therapeutic relationship.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength as a person and a therapist is my ability to be non-judgemental. I pride myself in creating a welcoming environment that allows people to open up to me. I love helping people heal. Seeing the transformations that people can make when they put in the work and are ready is like witnessing real-life magic.

I use trauma informed care to help ground my client's and educate them on what they may feel like is "wrong" with them. Education regarding the impacts of trauma is key to understanding how to deal with it, heal, and move forward in life.
