I am Nefretiri Abat, J.D., PMHNP-BC, R.N., BSN. I am board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and licensed in the State of California (95024411) to diagnose psychiatric-mental health conditions, prescribe medications, and provide psychotherapy accordingly. I received my undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and doctoral degree (Juris Doctor) from University of Sto. Tomas and my advanced practice degree (Master of Science in Nursing-Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practictioner) from Walden University. Since 2004, I have worked extensively in various inpatient acute care environments in Medical as well as Behavioral Psychiatric Inpatient Units covering Adolescents, Acute Adults, Geriatric Med-Psych, and Psychiatric Intensive Care centered on the significantly impacted, underserved population.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will do brief introductions. We will also go over the challenges you are facing and how it affects your daily life. We will also discuss about the factors that could possibly lead to such challenges. The information I gather will allow me to tailor a treatment plan that will suit you and lay out the framework for follow up sessions.
