I am a doctoral-prepared nurse practitioner with dual board certification: Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certificate. I have over 23 years of extensive nursing experience in critical care, behavioral health, and addiction. As a Psychiatric Mental health Nurse Practitioner I specialize in generalized anxiety disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, Insomnia, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, and other mental health disorders.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

On our first session, we will briefly acquaint ourselves with each other and undergo a brief introduction. Then I will listen attentively to the struggles that you are encountering to design a personalized plan of care through collaboration with you. The overall goal from each session including the first one is to leave feeling validated, relieved, and with some skills that can help shape your mindset.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strengths as a provider are my extensive in and out field experience helping my patients with their mental health. I employ not only my skills learned as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner but also my personal skills of empathy which can go a long way to make a patient feel heard and understood.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Application of CBT in my practice. has helped scores of individuals overcome recurring and negative thoughts and control their symptoms. We'll utilize CBT to understand how your ideas, feelings, and behaviors affect your actions. We'll then apply that understanding to unlearn negative thoughts and behaviors and learn to adopt healthier thinking patterns and habits, allowing you to live a less anxious and stressful life

Christian Counseling

I have been incorporating Christian counseling in my practice by integrating Christian beliefs and principles with traditional techniques in a compassionate way. It has helped in alleviating psychological, and emotional distress and dysfunction in individuals seeking therapy.
