Hello and Welcome! I have been working in the mental health field since completing my Undergraduate degree at Sacramento State University in 2018 and have helping people across a wide variety of places ever since (from in-patient hospitals, to residential treatment facilities, to outpatient clinics). I graduated with my Master's in Psychology from Brandman University back in December of 2021 and have been providing therapeutic services to clients of all backgrounds since then as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. I acquired my full license in May of 2024 and now hope to provide even more help to those suffering from life's battles as a fresh LMFT no matter where they are in their life journey. Youth or adult; individual or couple; first-timer or returner; I wish to help in anyway I can through your specific struggles.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The first couple of sessions will be geared towards house-keeping items such as reviewing the informed consent forms and the basics of confidentiality. I also welcome my clients to share any and all concerns or questions they might have about the therapeutic journey they are about to embark on. We will also be reviewing the intake questionnaire so I can get a better picture of what your specific wants/needs are.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I pride myself on walking 'Beside' my clients, not in-front of them. I am open and non-judgmental. My greatest asset is my ability to pull out client strengths and use them to instill hope for the future.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I have been using CBT interventions for many years dating back to my time working in community mental health (over 6 years ago). These interventions and questions will be geared towards identifying patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving and how this cycle could be producing distress in one or more life domains.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

My go-to method for addressing relational problems and distress - EFT's focus is on emotional expression and processing in real time by encouraging and fostering healthy emotional conversations between partners while emphasizing validation and reflective listening. The ability to truly hear, validate, and reflect each other's emotions goes a long way in building a lovely and satisfying relationship!
