Hi there! My name is Claudia and I am a bilingual and bicultural Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) from Los Angeles, CA. I am here to provide an open ear and walk with you through life's challenges. Life can feel like a roller coaster, although fun sometimes, they can also be stressful and overwhelming in our day to day. I have primarily worked in school settings working with children and adolescents, however have enjoyed working with young adults and supporting them in their life's transitions through college, jobs, relationships, healing from trauma, etc.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Our first session will focus on getting to know each other, don't worry it'll be super chill. I know how nerve-wrecking "firsts" can be. I will ask you questions about yourself, what brings you to therapy and the goals you would like address in therapy. Take it like a 50-minute ice-breaker to our therapeutic relationship!

I am down to earth, a good listener, intuitive, but also honest and methodical in helping my clients. I meet my clients where they are; I am here to listen but also ready to help you address your wants, needs, goals and dreams.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

I am TF-CBT certified and have worked with clients who have experienced various types of traumatic events in their lives such as a sexual abuse, grief and loss of a loved one, divorce/parent separation, living with a chronic illness, etc. We will go through the tf-cbt components of psychoeduation, relaxation skill building, affect modulation, cognitive coping, trauma narrative and safety/future development.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

You will learn the connection between your thoughts, feelings and actions. We will discuss ways to improve your thinking, mood and behaviors in life. You will be able to identify the difference between positive and negative thinking.
