Hi there! I'm Stephanie, Please take a moment to appreciate how far you've come simply by looking into mental health options for yourself, you did it! I would like to create an environment where you can safely explore and process any thoughts in relation to your anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop positive coping skills, healthy boundaries, and communication skills to help improve your quality of life. Counseling can open up a world of self-discovery and increase your ability to understand yourself better and I am here to assist you on your journey when you are ready.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, in addition to creating a safe and welcoming environment for you, we will also discuss specific challenges you would like to focus on by setting realistic goals, objectives, discussing time frames. This discussion will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strengths come from previous years of experience as a Clinician with different populations that have increased my ability to build connection with my client's, assist them with establishing measurable goals, and working on skills that increase their ability to manage their mental health.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) can assist with identifying and challenging inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. Coping skills further assist with behaviors that you would like to work on.

Motivational Interviewing

The use of Motivational Interviewing is to increase a person's motivation to act for the fun or challenge involved rather than because of external pressures, or rewards. Motivational interviewing can assist with learning how to manage and be comfortable with ambivalence in decision making.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution Focused Brief Treatment focuses on finding solutions that can work right now while exploring your long term goals to find a quick and realistic resolution of one’s problems. This method takes the approach that you know what you need to do to improve your own life and, with the appropriate coaching and questioning, are capable of finding the best solutions.
