As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I obtained my Master's in Social Work from Chicago State University. I have nearly two decades of experience working with individuals across all age groups, from adolescents to older adults. My professional dedication revolves around assisting individuals in overcoming challenges and facilitating the discovery of their inner strength and resilience. I am committed to empowering individuals to actualize their optimal selves, and I derive great satisfaction from this meaningful endeavor.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our initial meeting, we will begin with concise self-introductions followed by an in-depth discussion of your obstacles. This exchange will enable me to devise a customized strategy for our subsequent sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

With two decades of experience in this field, I have learned that it is essential to demonstrate empathy towards individuals and recognize their expertise in their lives to provide treatment effectively. Collaborating with individuals at their level and engaging them in identifying their needs and desires is paramount. I have realized that by helping you, I am also helping myself; thus, fostering reciprocity and respect is essential for progress. My objective is to thoroughly understand and identify the fundamental causes of your difficulties and formulate a tailored strategy that results in measurable improvement.

My treatment methods

Strength-Based

I employ the strength-based approach in solution-focused therapy. This method emphasizes identifying and leveraging an individual's existing strengths and resources. By doing so, solution-focused treatment enables individuals to understand their abilities better and enhances their motivation and confidence in addressing challenges they may face.

Compassion Focused

I employ compassion-focused therapy to enhance the three dimensions of compassion: giving and receiving compassion from others and self-compassion. My approach involves addressing barriers such as fear, resistance, shame, and self-criticism and facilitating the development of a new sense of self. I like to use compassion-focused therapy to help us improve the three flows of compassion—to others, from others, and ourselves. I reduce the fears, blocks, and resistances of compassion, shame, and self-criticism and help us cultivate a new identity.

Supportive

I employ supportive therapy, which aims to build self-esteem and confidence through active listening, emotional support, and validation. I practice supportive treatment designed to foster self-esteem and confidence through active listening, emotional support, and validation.
