You are the driver of your own life, your behaviors, your thoughts, and your growth. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Arkansas, Illinois and New Jersey and I believe that growth and change comes from within. So, let us explore any negative thoughts and behaviors that contribute to delaying your growth. What is your story? I became a therapist due to my own personal experiences of dealing with loss, trauma, and multigenerational issues that I had to overcome. It took for me to look within myself to acknowledge and accept my weaknesses & strengths . This in turn helped with my personal growth. Because of my story I believe as a therapist my role is to guide clients towards healing and personal growth. I founded BridgingLyfe because I understand first-hand the power of positive thought and how we have the power to use our thought to change how we feel. My primary passion in life is motherhood which means I always enjoy spending time with my children, watching Ginny & George, making candles and homemade pizza with the family. “You must first realize the prison of your own mind before you can escape it”. -Anonymous “Don’t let anyone or anything live in your mind rent free”. -Tesheria Price

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session we will discuss confidentiality, mandate reporter status, acknowledgement of therapy. I will conduct an intake to get to know some history of the things that may be of concern for you. This is also, your time to ask me any questions that you may have. I like to take the collaborative approach when setting goals for your treatment plan. I believe each individual has a unique blueprint to treatment.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I utilize interventions that are evidence-based treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which address change and thinking patterns which helps change in behaviors. I also utilize interventions in which the client directs change, such as Narrative Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy. Following my all-time favorite technique of Mindfulness Therapy, which focuses on awareness of your thoughts, feelings, and actions that hinder your progress. I create and develop wellness events to help educate and bring awareness to individuals in the community. I believe when we work on the growth of the individual this effects friends, family and even the community.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As your therapist it is my goal to help heal the mind and body by guiding clients to become aware of their thinking and behavioral patterns that may interfere with personal growth. Currently, I am studying Mindfulness Base Stress Reduction and Mindfulness Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I conduct individual and group therapy sessions with people from the ages of 14 and up. I specialize in self-esteem, perinatal mood disorders, parent/child issues, families, couples, depression, anxiety, and grief and trauma. I have over ten years of social service experience, two years of crisis management experience and seven years of counseling experience.
