About me

My particular areas of expertise are anxiety, depression, trauma, and heartbreak. I work with people in “middle marriage crisis”. I help men and women modify addictive or self-destructive behaviors such as binge-eating, over drinking, resist the urge text, call, or social media “stalk” someone they know isn’t good for them. I specialize in the unique stressors of the ex-patriot life both psychotherapeutically and personally, having lived and worked abroad myself for many years. I help parents navigate the profound emotional trauma that caring for their child with chronic or acute illness can bring.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session together, we will explore what is working well in your life and also what may be weighing on your heart. Our first session will be an opportunity for us to begin to create a bond and collaboration so that you move in the direction of what you want for your life. You will know that change is possible, and I am with you on that journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My biggest strength as a therapist is probably my capacity to see the gifts in every individual when they may have forgotten or lost sight of their worthiness. My personality is warm and supportive. I know that change and healing happen more easily when there is —first: self-compassion and then also compassion from me towards my clients.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I have over 20 years experience helping people with relationship difficulties, anxiety, heartbreak, and depression. I specialize in the particular pain of grief and loss. Some clients come to me to utilize the tools of law of attraction and coaching to create an inspired life.

Our thoughts and behavior create our feelings. We can work with our thoughts (the inner critic and inner younger self) to feel better. We can add or eliminate certain behaviors to create a better state of mind.
