I welcome working with people who realize they are having certain difficulties navigating life. That awareness is the most important first step that we revisit throughout therapy. My specialty is helping those having difficulties with their own emotions, relationships or dealing with other peoples actions, particularly as a result of trauma, or being newly sober, or because of a chronic physical or mental illness, I welcome you to not hesitate to reach out.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session is primarily dedicated to me listening to you share why you want therapy. We get to know each other a bit, sharing some history. And I let you know about my background, why I love therapy, how I work and how we can get to where you want to be.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Before formalizing my clinical degree I studied and taught yoga, Eastern philosophy and practices for over 35 years as part of my own healing process. At the same time and in conjunction with learning principles of holistic psychotherapy, I have also been steeped in twelve step work, a brilliant model to help anyone recover from their suffering. Of course I also studied and practice Evidence based western therapies such as CBT, Schema Therapy, DBT and EMDR.Every client will get an individual treatment plan that uses the best from a full spectrum of interventions to treat their issues.
