Hi! I'm Ashlyn. I am so proud of you for making this first step in looking for a therapist! Are you feeling depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed? Are you wanting to improve your relationships with the people that mean the most to you? Are you having a hard time making decisions? You're in the right place! My goal is to help you through these tough times. You deserve to feel at peace with yourself and with your life and I want to help you get there. My goal is to provide a safe place for you to open up and process these emotions that you may be struggling with. I have experience with adolescents to elder adults who struggle with depression, anxiety, addiction, and an array of other issues including eating disorders, OCD, and personality disorders. After our sessions, I want you to feel accomplished and proud of the work that you have done. You deserve it!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start building the therapeutic rapport that can be a great start to your therapy journey. We will talk through your background, what makes you who you are, current struggles, as well as why you are choosing to seek therapy at this time. From there, we will establish your goals and things that you would like to accomplish while in therapy. Lastly, we will determine the frequency with which you would like to utilize therapy and we will look to schedule future appointments if you feel that we are a good fit!

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I feel my greatest strengths as a provider are my abilities to truly listen, care, and find what is right for the client to work on given their present struggle or issue. I genuinely care for my clients and want the best for everyone and I believe that people deserve to feel better and thrive rather than just survive.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I believe CBT to be one of the most effective treatment modalities for individual therapy. A great deal of psychological issues can stem from our own faulty beliefs or ways of thinking. Changing these thinking patterns is a crucial way to promote healing and success in our lives.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have experience working with solution focused therapy as well. I think that coming up with goals and working on solutions to obtain these goals is a crucial part of healing and thriving.

Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy

Our irrational beliefs of ourselves and things happening around us tend to exacerbate our mental health issues. I believe strongly that working towards changing these irrational beliefs can reduce our mental health issues greatly.
