Hello! My name is Jeri, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Psychotherapist (LCSW-R). I earned my Master’s degree from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, and have had the privilege of working in the field for over 13 years. Throughout my career, I have supported adults as they navigate a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and personal growth. My goal is to provide a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your experiences and work toward becoming the best version of yourself. Whether you are facing a specific issue or simply seeking to enhance your overall well-being, I am here to help you on your journey.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
During our initial session, I’ll take some time to get to know you and understand what has brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, your life experiences, and what you hope to achieve through our work together. This conversation will help me begin to support you on your personal journey. The first session typically lasts about 45 minutes. If you have any questions or specific topics you’d like to discuss, please feel free to let me know—I’m here to help you feel comfortable and supported as we get started.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
While I may not have walked the exact same path as you, I have a deep sense of empathy for the unique experiences and challenges that each person faces. I recognize that life can present many obstacles, and overcoming them is not always easy. Every individual travels their own journey—some paths are smoother, while others may be more difficult and uncertain. I am genuinely compassionate and committed to supporting others as they navigate their personal journeys. I believe in recognizing each person as an individual, with their own specific needs and goals. My strength lies in my ability to provide thoughtful, personalized support to help people move forward and achieve what is important to them. Ultimately, I am dedicated to walking alongside you, offering encouragement and guidance as you work towards your aspirations.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
An ideal client—someone who is open-minded, inquisitive, and eager to understand the "why" behind their habits—tends to engage deeply in the therapeutic journey. This kind of client is not just seeking relief from symptoms but is also motivated by personal growth and a genuine curiosity about their behaviors and inner life. Such qualities often create fertile ground for meaningful dialogue and transformative insights. Clients with this mindset are usually ready to explore uncomfortable truths, ask probing questions about their habitual patterns, and consider alternative perspectives. They’re more likely to invest in the process, which can enhance the effectiveness of various therapeutic approaches, whether it’s psychodynamic work, humanistic exploration, or even mindfulness-based therapies. This active participation enriches the therapeutic alliance and channels the natural curiosity toward lasting change. Moreover, while such clients often flourish within a collaborative framework, it’s important to remain flexible. Sometimes someone might not appear fully ready for deep introspection at first but could have the potential to evolve into that ideal mindset with time and a nurturing environment. Balancing your clear criteria with a willingness to recognize latent potential can be another strategy to support broader growth.
