Hello, my name is Ashley, and I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I am intimately aware of the challenges that accompany life's journey, whether it is beginning as a freshman in college, receiving your first job promotion, or planning to start a family. As a mental health advocate and provider, I am dedicated to sharing knowledge and therapeutic tools that empower my clients to gain autonomy over their mental health. My mission as a psychiatric provider is to deliver safe and integrative mental healthcare interventions aimed at identifying the root causes of various mental health conditions. I specialize in providing individual psychotherapy for women's mental health and reproductive psychiatry services. *CURRENTLY I'M ONLY ACCEPTING ADULT CLIENTS FOR INDIVIDUAL PSYCHOTHERAPY NEEDS. *PLEASE BE ADVISED, I DO NOT PRESCRIBE CONTROLLED STIMULANTS OR BENZODIAZEPINES FOR VIRTUAL CLIENTS.
In our first session together, here's what you can expect
In our first 60–90-minute visit, there will be a focus on building a positive therapeutic alliance between the provider and the client. At this initial session, we will discuss the client’s current psychiatric symptoms, past psychiatric history, social history, and past medical history. The initial comprehensive psychiatric evaluation will aid in the formulation of an accurate mental health diagnosis and assist the provider and client with collaborating on an individualized treatment plan.
The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions
Although I have had the opportunity and clinical experience to treat various mental health disorders, the treatment of anxiety, depression, and perinatal mental healthcare treatment are my greatest expertise. I strive to develop the safest, most effective, and uniquely tailored treatment plan for your individualized mental healthcare needs. My kindness, patience, and empathetic treatment approach enable me to build positive and lasting therapeutic provider-patient relationships. Remember that your mental health is a priority, so my priority as a provider is to guide you in achieving your optimal mental well-being.
The clients I'm best positioned to serve
I provide specialized integrative mental health care interventions for women at every significant stage of their lives. I offer a range of mental health care services for women experiencing challenges with anxiety, ADHD, depression, OCD, PMDD, PTSD, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. *I'm currently accepting adult clients (ages 18-65) in DE for in-person and telehealth visits. PA clients will be seen virtually.
Psychoeducation
As psychiatric provider, I understand the importance of patient education and the benefits my clients receive by having the proper understanding of their mental health conditions. Psychoeducation utilizes evidence-based practice interventions to help clients gain more information about their mental healthcare conditions and to learn about available treatment options.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a widely used and effective form of psychotherapy. It's based on the idea that our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interconnected, and that by changing negative or unhelpful thought patterns, we can positively impact our emotions and actions.
Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) is a form of evidence-based psychotherapy that aims to improve psychological flexibility and enhance well-being. In ACT sessions, I assist my clients through therapeutic exercises with a focus on mindfulness, cognitive reframing, and goal setting.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-Based Therapy is a great therapy approach that I utilize with my clients to help them focus on their present life experiences. Additionally, clients will gain positive emotional understanding to give themselves kindness and compassion.
Interpersonal
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) is an evidence-based psychotherapy that focuses on improving mental health by addressing interpersonal problems. In IPT sessions, I assist my clients in developing healthy communication skills, identifying the quality of their relationships, and acquiring positive coping mechanisms. IPT is helpful for clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship conflicts, and who are going through various life stressors.

I was looking for a new provider and I happened to see a sign for Duo mental health where I get my hair done. The sign up process was very easy and I was able to schedule an appointment quickly. During my session Ashley was very warm & understanding. I felt heard & seen with all that I spoke about. Ashley has an authentic presence about her that most providers lack. I look forward to my next session with her.

I had my first session with Ashley, and I couldn’t have asked for a better start. I was a little nervous going in, but she quickly helped me feel at ease. She created a warm, welcoming environment where I felt comfortable opening up. Ashley explained what I was going through in a way that really made sense and helped me feel seen and validated. I’m looking forward to continuing this journey with her and truly appreciate the support she’s already provided.
