Feeling invisible, disconnected, or emotionally numb? You're not alone. As a licensed mental health counselor, many of my clients are overwhelmed with balancing societal expectations with personal and cultural values. Others carry the weight of childhood or intergenerational trauma. Some struggle with feelings of impostor syndrome in their careers and academically. Many struggle to cultivate healthy relationships, both with themselves and others.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients can expect to feeling heard, validated and empowered. During our initial session, we'll dive into understanding what has led you to seek therapy. Together, we'll develop a tailored treatment plan and set clear, achievable goals. This collaborative approach ensures your therapy journey is both meaningful and aligned with your unique needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I use a collaborative, client-centered, holistic approach to fully understand each client’s unique needs and desires. You are the expert when it comes to your life. I use a variety of treatment methods and tools to help each client reach their goals.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

In Person-Centered Therapy, I provide a warm, supportive space where you feel understood and accepted. By building a genuine and empathetic relationship, I help you explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace, tapping into your potential for growth without judgment.

EMDR

In EMDR Therapy, I help you work through traumatic memories using eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation. This process helps lessen the emotional impact of those memories, so you can heal and move forward with more resilience and well-being.

Somatic

In somatic therapy, I focus on the connection between your body and mind to help you heal from trauma and emotional distress. By integrating techniques like body awareness, movement, and breathing exercises, we address physical sensations and release stored tension, promoting overall emotional and physical well-being.

Integrative

In integrative psychotherapy, I use a mix of different therapeutic techniques tailored to your unique needs. By combining approaches like cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic therapies, we work together to address your specific challenges and promote overall mental and emotional well-being.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

Memory updated In culturally sensitive therapy, I draw on both my professional training and my own culturally diverse background to provide a supportive and understanding environment. By respecting and integrating your cultural values and experiences into our sessions, we work together to address your unique challenges and promote your overall well-being.
