It is a brave choice to seek therapy to cope with life’s stressors, but you are worth it. Whether you’ve been through a traumatic experience, struggling with relationships, or trying to find peace within yourself, I can work along side you to begin the healing process. I will give you the space to share and process your experiences, thoughts, and feelings with me openly without judgement. In addition to actively listening, I will help you develop and strengthen your tools to help you achieve inner peace and self-growth. When life feels overwhelming and you are just “going through the motions,” we can work together to remind you what brings you joy and re-discover your purpose. I will use the most appropriate therapeutic approach tailored to your individual needs and help change negative thinking patterns and avoid you getting in your own way. Sometimes a shift in perspective can make all the difference, and as a team, we can look at problems through a different lens.
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In out first session we discuss some of the background and talk about what might have brought them to therapy to begin with. This is an introduction for us both and find it helpful to have an understanding of ones goals of therapy and what they are looking to achieve.
What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?
I am trained in the following therapeutic models: Mindfulness-based CBT, motivational interviewing, qualified supervisor, solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), strength-based therapy, family systems, rational emotive behavioral therapy, family-marital counseling, and substance abuse counseling.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
Some of my strengths include empowering you to find the answers and solutions which often come from within. My therapeutic strengths are rooted in the years of working with various types of people from all walks of life and acknowledging that everyone has their own story. Essentially, my strength is helping you draw from your strengths in order to help you along your journey of self-growth. Another strength of mine is empathetic listening and meeting you where you are at in your life.
