New to Grow
I'm a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience supporting adults and young adults through life’s most difficult challenges. I specialize in helping clients work through trauma, substance use concerns, life transitions, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. My approach to the therapeutic process is rooted in a cognitive behavioral theoretical orientation (CBT) and incorporates other evidenced-based treatment modalities such as solution focused therapy (SFT), DBT, and trauma-informed approaches.
My person-centered, non-judgmental approach creates a safe and supportive environment for you to feel heard, understood, and supported, even during difficult times.
I believe in creating a safe, non-judgmental, space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. Most people assume their thoughts belong to them, yet so many live on autopilot, guided by other people’s opinions, cultural conditioning, or relentless streams of noise from media. I am dedicated to helping individuals claim sovereignty over the most valuable territory they will ever inhabit; the inner world.
I have extensive training and experience treating trauma, substance abuse/dependence, depression, anxiety and interpersonal conflicts. My approach is grounded in treating each person as an individual and together, we will embark on a journey of health with purpose of healing your mind, body, and soul to allow you to create the life that you deserve.
I have extensive experience using CBT to help clients build healthier ways of coping and to claim sovereignty over the most valuable territory they will ever inhabit: the inner world. CBT is a type of therapy that helps you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviors/actions. Sometimes our thinking patterns can make challenges heavier. Together, we will look at unhelpful patterns of thinking that may be keeping you stuck and learn practical strategies to shit them.
DBT is an evidence-based practice that helps you manage strong emotions and improve relationships. It teaches practical skills handling stress in healthier ways, calming yourself when upset, communicating more effectively and staying in the present moment. The goal is to help you feel more balanced and in control of your life.
Motivational Interviewing is a client-centered approach that enhances motivation for change. Together, we will explore and resolve ambivalence, clarify your values and goals, strengthen intrinsic motivation, and build confidence to take meaningful steps toward change.
