Welcome! I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist practicing in the golden state of California. I received my Master’s from John F. Kennedy University in California and have been practicing for 8 years. I work with couples, families and individuals as young as 16 years of age. I look forward to supporting you and working towards a better version of yourself! A little about myself: I love being active, which includes hiking, cycling, working out in the gym. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I believe in practicing what I share with clients, I don’t just say things and live the complete opposite. SELFCARE is the best care and the best way to ensure you’re in the best position to help! Be well. And cheers to a long healthy life!

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session you can expect to receive a brief introduction to my therapeutic approach including my theoretical orientation, an explanation of the process of therapy, sharing information about yourself and learning some fun facts about me! You can expect helpful transparency. You can expect support AND accountability. You can expect a therapist that values, respects and is honored to be a part of your healing journey.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

In my years of practicing, I can honestly say, based on the feedback given from clients, I’m good at making people feel comfortable, seen and heard, as well as a deeper appreciation for themselves and their life experiences.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I love working with individuals who are ready to begin their healing journey and become better versions of themselves. I am best positioned to serve those that understand and have an appreciation for mental health services. The more you’re invested in your healing, the richer your experience and results!

I was struggling a lot when I met her and will always be so grateful that she was able to fit me in as a client. I've tried therapy a few times before, but never this consistently and with this much intention. She is very kind, thoughtful, and always inspires me to explore new ways of thinking. I always feel more hopeful after our sessions. I look forward to continuing my journey with her help along the way.

Her calm demeanor and our interactions have helped me tremendously be more reflective and introspective. She listens and responds with feedback and insights that ar both supportive and challenging. I also enjoy that she shares outside resources with me whenever she thinks it might be helpful.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The CBT method has been helpful in treating a range of symptoms and one found to be useful throughout my approach. CBT can assist with exploring a person’s current beliefs about something, which may be harmful and irrational. Through the use of CBT, we can improve current beliefs to ones that are rational, factual and create space for healthier responses.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I believe it is helpful to have an approach that considers a client’s cultural background as well as having an awareness of what both implicit and explicit biases.

Attachment-based

This approach is helpful as we explore early life experiences and relationships with caregivers and how that might contribute to how a person forms relationships present day.

Strength-Based

I believe it is helpful to recognize things a person is doing well with their current abilities, rather than focusing only on problems or origin of the problem.
