Hello! My name is Brittani Hailey. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, life-changing moments, substance abuse, disordered eating behaviors, codependency, grief/loss, difficulty with shame, perfectionism, and a wide range of LGBTQ+ and ENM specific concerns. I have been working as a counselor for several years within individual and group counseling experiences (with various ages), college setting areas, couple counseling, family therapy, and substance abuse treatment centers. I believe I can aid your journey in positive self-talk, self-soothing behavior, acceptance, and the ability to learn more about your authentic self.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You should expect a healthy and therapeutic environment that is sympathetic, understanding, and safe. My role is to provide insight into what I am observing, counsel on possible ways to handle the issues that you are facing, and effective techniques that have been shown to be beneficial in treating the root cause of the issues. All our sessions will be safe, open, and supportive for healing and growth to occur. As the sessions develop you will begin to utilize the coping skills and lifestyle changes in your life so that you will be able to apply these skills independently.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My biggest strength is looking at the client as a whole person. I look at the person’s mental and emotional health but also their environment, family, systematic oppressors, spirituality and lack thereof, and traumatic factors. All of these affect the decisions we make and the way we feel. My approach is I will be here actively listening, and supporting you, with willingness and empathy, however, I am also going to give accountability and structure to aid in challenging change.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past fewyears. It’s helped dozens of clients challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns, which will help you lead a less stressed life.
