New clients continue care with this provider

I specialize in helping you recognize the patterns in your life and become the observer of your thoughts and feelings. I believe in working with the whole person and not just the mind. I use somatic experiencing to help you move emotions through your body and calm your nervous system. Trauma is more than what happened. Trauma is what didn’t get to happen. Somatic experiencing will allow your body to renegotiate the past while staying in the present moment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session with me, you can expect to be welcomed as you are without judgment. I will provide a safe environment for you to share what you need in the counseling relationship, and I will share with you what I am capable of providing. We can decide if I am the best match to help you achieve your goals for the changes you want to see in your life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Clients tell me they feel safe around me and have an easier time opening up than they expected.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

If you are ready to embark on a healing journey, I am excited to join you in the process of releasing trapped emotions and reversing patterns that no longer serve you.

My treatment methods

Somatic

In addition to cognitive techniques, I use somatic experiencing to help clients identify emotions in the body and regulate the nervous system. I believe that healing on the level of the mind is not enough. Emotions are felt in the body and must also be processed through the body.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I help clients learn mindfulness skills to move from being overwhelmed by thoughts and feelings to becoming the witness of thoughts and feelings. I help clients develop “wise mind” and change behaviors that are impacting their relationships with themselves and others.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I help clients identify thinking mistakes and replace distorted thoughts that no longer serve them with thoughts that are more open and accurate.
