My name is Erin and I am so glad you have decided to take care of you! Life can bring a variety of challenges and sometimes it is helpful to have extra support as you work to find healing, resolution and new ways to cope. I work with individuals struggling with a variety of concerns such as depression, anxiety, grief, self esteem and trauma. I used a strengths based, person centered approach to ensure we are not just looking at the problem that needs to be fixed but also help you understand your strengths that can help you meet your goals. I also use mindfulness based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy informed techniques to help you move forward Whether you are feeling overwhelmed or managing a more complex stressor, I am here to help. Starting therapy can be scary, but you are making the right choice. In our sessions together, we will work as a team to develop goals and I will provide you with compassionate and evidenced based techniques to assist you in finding healing. I look forward to working with you!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During our first session, we will review the informed consent for treatment and review any questions you may have about therapy. We will then spend some time talking about your background, what brought you to therapy and determine some goals for treatment.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

I use a strengths based, person centered approach that encompasses mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy informed techniques. I help individuals challenge negative thoughts, understand their strengths and challenge cognitive distortions that can cause us to react and relate in unhealthy ways. I work with each client to ensure I am providing tools and interventions that will work best for that individual and do not believe there is always a 'One Size Fits All' approach to treatment because we are all unique in our experiences and needs.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I will meet you with empathy and compassion and work to ensure you feel understood and cared about. I have experience working with individuals with a variety of backgrounds and beliefs and hope to provide a safe space for any individual needing support. I have experience working with individuals with PTSD, complex grief, depression, anxiety, relationship issues and individuals struggling with a life changing medical condition. If it would be helpful, I am happy to meet with you for an initial appointment to further discuss my experience as well as your needs to ensure I am a good fit for you and that you feel comfortable moving forward in therapy.
