I’m a licensed clinical social worker with 11 years experience working with adults and have been working primarily with children and adolescents for the last two years. I’ve taken my experience with adults and leveraged my clinical knowledge to effectively connect with my patients to help them realize their values and help them make the behavioral changes that align with these values to improve their well being and achieve the goals they set for themselves.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Clients will get to decide if I am the right fit for their recovery journey. They will be presented with my clinical approach as well as my style of engagement to quickly build rapport and form a strong therapeutic alliance to help them achieve their goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I attune very well to my patients and hope they are feeling in the present moment. I grew up having to rely heavily on paraverbal communication with parents for whom English was a second language. I bring a sense of calm and ease when engaging with my patients so they are able to bring their authentic selves to our sessions and engage in meaningful clinical work towards recovery.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

As a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) working with clients experiencing mental health and substance use disorders, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a cornerstone integrated into my therapeutic approach. I support patients by engaging them in therapy that is structured, time-limited, and goal-oriented. I focus on the interplay between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors by identifying and modifying dysfunctional thinking patterns and behaviors. I am able to support the development of healthier coping mechanisms and improve mental well-being.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I utilize Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBT) to integrate mindfulness principles with therapeutic practices to help individuals cultivate awareness and acceptance of the present moment, without judgement, to strengthen sense of self and build resilience by reducing rumination about the past or future.
