I am a licensed professional counselor in Texas with over 12 years of experience as a counselor. I have a master's in counseling. I have worked with a wide array of problems. These concerns include mental health conditions, life challenges major or minor, unhelpful thoughts, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and couples/relationship issues. I am respectful, non-judgmental, reliable and aim to create a warm environment.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In the first session we will discuss the problem and concerns, history of the problem, how the problem is impacting the client's life and people around them. The client will drive the conversation by only sharing information that they feel comfortable sharing in their sessions. Last, we will discuss goals that the client would like to work on during counseling and homework.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a therapist I feel that my greatest strength is listening and respecting the client and the problems that they are struggling with. I focus on helping the client find solutions or ways to work through their challenges by empowering them to take control.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I use CBT to help clients that are struggling with negative thoughts, self-esteem, depression, and anxiety. I place emphasis on helping the client identify the problem area and identify the appropriate strategy to challenge the issue.

Couples Counseling

I have helped couples identify the cycle of their dysfunctional interactions and assist them in developing strategies that will help them work through the core of their problems.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

I have used SFBT to assist clients that require an actionable approach rather than coping skills to manage thought processes and repressed feelings. The key to this approach is to primarily focus on what's going on in the client's life today and tomorrow.
