I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Florida. I have a Master's in Social Work (MSW) from Barry University. For the past seven years, I have been dedicated to helping individuals, families, and communities enhance their well-being and overall functioning. As a social worker, I hold a firm belief that every person has a unique and valuable story. Each individual's life is like a book, filled with a series of chapters that encompass a wide range of experiences, emotions, and challenges. Sometimes, people get stuck on a particular page or in a specific chapter of their story, feeling unable to move forward. This can happen due to various reasons, such as trauma, loss, mental health struggles, or significant life changes. It's normal to face difficulties at specific points in life. Feeling stuck might manifest as being overwhelmed, experiencing depression or anxiety, encountering repeated obstacles in relationships or careers, or simply feeling unfulfilled. Recognizing these feelings is the first step toward seeking help and making positive changes. My role as a social worker is to help you identify the specific issues causing you to feel stuck. Through empathetic listening and comprehensive assessment, we can pinpoint the root causes of your difficulties, whether they stem from past experiences, current stressors, or underlying mental health conditions. Once we understand the issues, we can work together to develop a range of skills and tools to help you manage these situations.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session, we will begin with introductions and rapport building. Then, we will discuss presenting issues, such as why you are seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. The next step would be to gather and discuss background information to complete the formal intake assessment. Lastly, we will collaboratively identify realistic and measurable treatment plan goals.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My greatest strength as a social worker is my deep sense of empathy and compassion for others. I can connect with clients profoundly, creating a safe and trusting environment where they feel understood. This empathetic approach, combined with my active listening skills and cultural competence, allows me to tailor interventions to meet each client's unique needs. My adaptability and problem-solving skills enable me to navigate complex situations and find creative solutions to help clients overcome challenges. Ultimately, my goal is to empower clients, advocate for their rights, and support them in their journey toward healing and growth.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) identifies and changes negative thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I believe in integrating CBT with a solution-focused approach that focuses on goal setting, positive reinforcement, brief interventions, homework assignments, cognitive restructuring, behavioral activation, feedback loop, and a collaborative approach to help clients quickly identify and achieve their goals, fostering a sense of empowerment and resilience.
