Are you feeling like no one understands you or alone in your struggles? I can be that listening ear that you need. Life can be wonderful at times and it can also feel lonely, scary, and upsetting. I have spent my career of 15 years helping others navigate the ups and downs of life, be it issues related to family, work, changes, or traumas. I love listening to people and helping them find the solutions to their problems. I believe you have the ability to change your life by being honest, open, and willing. I commend you for taking the first step! If you're having trouble booking, please see below: To schedule by phone: (786) 755-1863 To schedule by email: reception+Katrina17151@growtherapy.com

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Oftentimes we feel like others don't listen or get us-you can expect to be heard by me. After sessions with me, my hope is that you feel better than when we started. Overtime my goal with every client is that they feel better equipped to handle the difficulties of life.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Often the thoughts of the past bring unsettling emotions. The stress of life has us short-fused and unable to tolerate any difficulties. Our emotional reactions can sometimes make situations worse. The relationships in our lives, be they personal or professional, can bring great joy but can also bring great pain. Dialectical Behavior Therapy works with all of these problems and has been shown to be effective in treating some of the most common problems such as depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I have been fully trained in DBT and usually incorporate DBT skills into sessions.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

CBT is widely used to treat anxiety and depression, it has it's strengths and I use it when appropriate.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I use this method consistently as a philosophical approach-I believe in meeting people where they are without judgment. I believe that without listening and being fully present to the person true healing cannot happen.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I am fully trained in DBT by the Linehan Institute. I do not engage in strict DBT given the nature of my practice, but I do use the skills frequently, as they have been proven to be effective in addressing most issues, including: interpersonal issues, problems with regulating emotions, distress tolerance, and feeling lost.
