Hey there! Before I introduce myself, I want to congratulate you in taking this step in your healing! My name is Brittany Joseph and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, born and raised in Miami, Florida. I earned my Masters of Social Work degree at the University of Southern California. I have eleven years of experience working with individuals experiencing difficult life transitions. I am proud to be of Haitian descent. With this background, I have witnessed and experienced the struggles of immigration, racism, micro aggressions and prejudice. These experiences has equipped me to provide clinical care from a culturally sensitive and empathetic perspective. I describe myself as outgoing and friendly. I am happily married with two beautiful sons, I love to dance, I enjoy watching basketball (Go Heat!) and relaxing at home. I look forward to walking alongside you on your healing journey!

On this journey together be prepared for an experience where you are heard, seen, valued and gently challenged to engage in your goals and values. Creating a space where you feel safe to ease into vulnerability is essential for healing. Talking about the hard things is a hard thing. There is no pressure in your therapeutic journey. You set the pace.

For eleven years I have worked with individuals experiencing difficult life transitions. My style is laid-back and encouraging. I utilize techniques such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Strengths Based Therapy (SBT) and Trauma Focused Therapy (TFT) to provide an experience tailored to your unique healing journey.

Brittany has been an answer to a prayer I've prayed for so long. She listens with an open heart, helps you process through your past and present. I have had experience with other counselors and I never really felt heard or cared for the way she does!

Brittany has been an amazing asset to me in dealing with my psych-mental health needs. She has been working with me for several years, with a recent 1 year break. I'm very happy to be back with her. Finding a match in therapy can be challenging for people, so when one is found, it is invaluable. She does well in reframing the way that I tend to see things and offers excellent insight in how to navigate difficult situations. My anxiety about situations always feels more manageable after sessions.
