I believe that healing in therapy comes from the deep connection and relationship that is formed between the therapist and the client. Following the initial assessment phase, I work collaboratively with the client to identify barriers, challenges, and areas in which support is needed. Together with the client, I discuss a treatment plan and a course for treatment. I tailor my sessions and the interventions that I use in session to the individual’s specific needs.
From a young age, I always knew I wanted to do something professionally that allowed me to connect with people on a deep and emotional level. I knew that, by becoming a therapist, I could be a source of comfort and a guide to those who are in need of support. Through the therapeutic relationship, I could inspire others to take action, become healthier, and live happier lives.
I use a lot of DBT in my sessions and my goal is to support my clients by teaching them how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress and to regulate their emotions, and improve their relationships with others
