Hey there! My name is Brittney Campos. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) here in Texas. I received my Masters from Tarleton State University in Psychology & Counseling in 2016. We are all at different stages in life, and while we may experience similarities in what we go through, the way it affects us and the way we work through that looks different from person to person. I want to be able to support you alongside that journey in whatever way works best for you. I am trained in several different approaches that help provide a tailored plan based on your needs.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

During the first session, we will start with introductions and just taking a little bit if time to get to know each other. We will discuss what brought you to seek therapy, along with what any specific challenges you are currently facing. Whatever you are comfortable with sharing, you are invited to provide as much detail as you are comfortable as it helps me to get a clearer picture of what is going on. This helps to provide a tailored plan specific to your needs to work through throughout other sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a provider, some of my greatest strengths are with being warm and welcoming from the very start. I want you to feel comfortable and that you are in a safe space and free to share whatever you would like. Another strength is that I recognize that in life we can often go through similar circumstances as others, but they affect us each differently. Because of this, I believe that there is not a 'one size fits all' approach, and I work to really listen and tailor the sessions around what can work best for you and what you are looking for.

My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

Using Person-centered approach provides a non-judgmental safe space for clients from the start. Using this approach there will be unconditional positive regard, an empathetic understanding, and genuineness. Person-centered therapy can be helpful when dealing with anxiety, depression, ptsd, and many others.

Christian Counseling

Through a Christ-centered, talk therapy approach, Christian counseling can be beneficial for one looking to incorporate more of a biblical, Christian base line used in dealing with concerns such as self-esteem, stress, depression, anxiety, grief, relationships, spirituality, and many others.

Supportive

My goal as a therapist is to provide support and encouragement alongside your journey of healing and growth. I aim to give a warm and welcoming environment from the very start. Using practical tools, support, and encouragement, I work alongside you. This form of therapy works great in building self-esteem, as well as working with personality disorders, anxiety, depression, PTSD, etc.

Positive Psychology

Positive psychology is a therapeutic approach focuses on improving the overall wellbeing. Using Positive Psychology helps to recognize strengths and weaknesses and focusing on what they are. Being able to learn from past mistakes and also reflect on things that have gone well can help to grow and heal.

Grief Therapy

Grief therapy can help to process any deep loss. Navigating grief is an on-going process that looks different for each individual. Sometimes it helps to just feel as though you are not alone in your grief. Going through my own personal grief journey, I can relate to the many emotions grief brings.
